Textielfabrique is my Rotterdam-based textile studio where I did 10 years research on' Textile as a Language' and where I gave textile masterclasses between 2012 and 2022). Here you can find a part of my research, the beautiful textile samples I made, and an overview of the techniques I practice:

Textielfabrique offered masterclasses for professionals and inspired textile lovers. The masterclass program was designed to teach hands-on skills and knowledge on high-quality textile production.

Textieflabrique specializes in the basics of Japanese, South American, and European craft techniques like Aizome (natural indigo dye), Katazome (rice print), Shibori (pattern making), Sashiko (quilting), Saori weaving, and Kasuri (ikat) weaving, Gobelin Weaving, damask and velvet weaving.

The basic insights of many different techniques are very important for a deep understanding of textile art and its possibilities. Textile knowledge is

also connected with our digital world and the art disciplines that use notation, and language as such.

All masterclass programs offered historical background information and insight into both conceptual, technical, and aesthetic textile applications.

CURRENTLY, I'm weaving unique textiles for Textielfabrique that will inspire people to live with handwoven textile objects. They will be presented in the Roots exhibition in Milaan in april 2025.
